At Moe Dog Rescue Mission, our goal is to create lasting matches between dogs and adopters. We believe successful adoptions start with thoughtful planning and ongoing support. Our process is designed to be clear, supportive, and centered on each dog’s individual needs, helping families adopt with confidence.
Adoption Trial
All MDRM dogs go home on an adoption trial of up to two weeks, giving families the opportunity to ensure the dog is the right fit before making a lifelong commitment. We provide everything the dog needs during this trial period.
Behavioral Support
All MDRM adopters receive free lifetime behavioral support from our approved trainers to help set both dogs and families up for long-term success.
Late Spay/Neuter Approach
At MDRM, we follow a late spay/neuter approach whenever possible, with the goal of altering our dogs at around one year of age. Based on current veterinary guidance, allowing dogs to mature before being altered can support healthy growth and help reduce certain long-term health risks.
Our adoption fee is $550 per dog.
This fee helps cover each dog’s foundational veterinary care, including all core vaccinations, multiple deworming treatments, microchipping, spay/neuter (when age-appropriate), and treatment for any pre-existing medical concerns.
What if my dog isn’t old enough for all veterinary care yet?
No problem. Any remaining vaccinations, deworming treatments, or spay/neuter procedures will still be fully covered and arranged by MDRM. Adopters work with our Medical Coordinator to schedule appointments and attend them with their dog, while MDRM covers associated costs.
